Sorry we didnt meet up, I was feeling fairly crappy most of the day got worse towards the end. I got there real late (10 o'clock) and didnt even get a dash plaque, so there was at least 651 cars there before 10

Re: Morris Illinois car show OCT 10

Didn't make it till after noon, so I had to park across the street It was still a very awesome car show. I can't remember the last time I was at one so large. I heard there were over 1100 cars there today.

We were there from 11:15 til 2:30. Did you have the Nova,
& was it by a blue SS 68-72?? Sorry IDK how to tell them
just by looking at them other than the turnsignals in the grill!!
We saw a couple gold // bronze Novas.
My Bride **almost** had me to the point of making an offer on
the blown bigblock for sale by the spectator entrance!!

The 3rd gens we saw were extremely clean & straight!! Prime
examples of well maintained cars!!!

Re: Morris Illinois car show OCT 10

Was there from 11:30ish to about 3:15 or so.

Was a good time.

At like 1pm they announced they were over 1100 cars and were waiting on more registrations to come from people that were already there and even more cars were still coming in.

I've never seent hat many cars there or the swap meet be so damned huge.

Was fun, but hot and a little pain working the whole show with a lil critter.

I missed my boy Dave...........

Re: Morris Illinois car show OCT 10

I had my copper color 74 hatch nothing fancy but the next project car I was next to a think 67 white mustang and a blue 56 bel air. I had to park in the space just north of the road where the cars came in and registered, the 10 years or so going there has never been that many cars

And sorry I missed you jer frigging going home sick isnt fun, never found the clutch alignment tool in the swap area.

And the hell to the 30 5th gens that showed up, my car was overheating because I had to wait for there lame club. You seen one 5th gen maro you seen em all I wish there were some year restrictions like pre 85 cars or something.

And there was a brand new crysler mini-van . . . . . Really whats the point?

Re: Morris Illinois car show OCT 10

I was there with my 90 Black Trans Am. It was an awsome show with over 1100 cars and beautiful weather, too. I have never been to a show with that many cars before. I was disappointed on the class selection. Seems the 68-70 cars had the best class as only those 2 years where in it, but they grouped all the 85-2000 years together. They should have done every 10 years instead. The brand new Chrysler mini-van won 1st place in its class, too. What a slap in the face to all the new Camaro, Mustang owners as well as the 2 G-8 GXP's that where there.

I would post some pictures from there, but don't really know how to do that in this site.

Re: Morris Illinois car show OCT 10

The mini van WTF, glad I didnt hear that they would have heard a lot of booing. The classes were messed up towards the newer stuff I was debating the last time I brought the bird entering as a 91 not a 92 since the class was 92 and newer.

And to the 5th gens loosing to a van

The 3rd picture is my car-. Glad you took a good picture of it. The other GTA and Camaro in your pictures look good too. I think the red camaro might have won an award. I know the green 91 Trans Am won a trophy (2nd place, I think). He won 1st place at the Mike Haggerty Show in Oak Lawn. I was there and won my first trophy-3 place. They took off points for me not having the undercarriage clean (didn't know it was a judged show), but will have that problem fixed for next years show.

Re: Morris Illinois car show OCT 10

We did see your Nova!! Didn't get a pic tho. I want my '72 back sssooo bad!! It was my first car, was 100% stock, paid cash for, & was more reliable than anything else I've ever had!!

I did like the Red Camaro & the GN!!!
Still can't get over the fact that my Bride was serious when she said to make on offer on the blue blown bigblock Nova at the spectator entrance!!
