Come on guys, it'll can do better than that.
2000 season, '86 LG4, stock TH700 (~1500 stall), 3.08 open, only non-stock mod was 2.75" take-off cat-back - at 5800' Bandimere - 17.35.
With tweaks (mostly weight loss & timing), wider/shorter tires, and open element air cleaner, it got down to 16.85 as the season went on.
Those translate to 16.10-15.65 at sea level.

Depends upon your defination of "stock".
The single-snorkel air cleaner costs about 2 tenths. I don't know how much that larger cat-back helped me, because the LG4 exhaust on the donor car was mangled - the GTA take-off exhaust is all I ever ran on it until the mods. I'd guess it was worth perhaps a tenth.
Then, it's a matter of tuning, practice and weight. Mine weighed just under 3500 going down the track (no GFX) - each 100 lbs will cost you about a tenth.
If you allow exhaust modifications, even if the stock cast iron manifolds stay on, something other than the single snorkel air cleaner, and do some tuning, you should be able to get the lighter versions of LG4s in decent shape and 1/4 tank of gas well into the 15's without touching the engine.

Still though, this corrects to about a 15.8@87. With more runs, a better60' could have saved another few tenths overall.

Uhh, ChrisFormula355. Your flat out wrong, considering there are people on here running 15's in LG4's with only exhaust work and open element. I ran 15.5 in my G body Cutlass (no mph recorded, but I ran 87.56mph on an early 16.4 run where I spun badly) so I think it was at least 88mph. 2.1x 60ft and 10.1x 1/8th mile. Have to dig out the slip to remember exact figures. Car has 3.73 open rear end and stock 2004R tranny. around 150k miles.
