I have to agree. With only .500" lift it must be a 230ish @ .050 cam which is very small for a 406 cubic inch motor with that intake and big converter. If that's the case, you'd be leaving a lot on the table.

I had a bigger cam than that in my old 383. It ran high 11's at altitude.

Change the cam and you can see mid 10's easy. Buddy of mine has a 406, 210 heads, hydraulic roller cam, vic jr intake and a 150 shot on a plate kit. His car is also full weight and runs consistent 10.5-10.6. He does consistent 11.6 on motor. Full interior, and street driven everywhere.

cam specs in sig. VERY streetable and pump gas friendly....I have a vacuum canister and brakes are as good as a dialy driver.

You'll be 10's N/A on motor easily with the extra cubes and the bumpstick I had in my 388.

I think your fine with what you got. That should follow the small cam, large head theory quite nicely. Plus you got a friggen 200 shot on top of that, launching off a transbrake. If that things hooks up, and DOESN'T run 10.9x or better, something is verry wrong. Especially in a 3100lb car.

It's a 106 LSA installed at 102.5*, recommended was 102, but 102.5 was as close as we could get it LOL!!

I ordered the cam with the steel cam gear so I could use the standard iron distributor gear, I've seen too much damage casued by the bronze gears and wanted a motor that was low maintenance and street friendly, this cam ground by Bullet Camshafts was the ticket. Low lift did'nt tax my valve springs or other valvetrain components but gave great power along with excellent street manners and brakes, this car was very decieving to all that rode/drove it around town.
