tire pressure for track

Car: 1992 Camaro vert
Engine: 355
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt... not blow up yet
tire pressure for track

ok guys so im running
2 goodyear 265/55 r16 in the rear
2 goodyear 235/50 r16 in the front
the tires say 44psi on all 4

what should I run for better track times?
should I keep it how it is, raise the pressure, ot lower it?

I think I should lower it but idk by how much

please help

Since these are street tires, I would start at 30 front and 32 rear. They will heat up about 7 pounds depending on the track, your speed and the time on the track.

i'd honestly keep them at 44 up front and about 32 out back. the higher pressure up front will keep rolling resistance to a minimum.
