What shocks and springs are you guys using? (6.90's & faster)
I have been a quickest of 1.44 60' rolling out several feet before hitting the 210 shot. Has gotten 1.50's on MT Drag Radials before on motor. I'm using V6 rear springs and chopped and heated front springs. 90/10 shocks on the front and some crappy summit adjustable rear shocks. Thinking of going with Moroso trick front springs and Comp. eng. adjustable rears. Really want to hit the spray off the line. A 150 shot gave me a 6.72 @106 mph with a 1.47 60'.
Really want some input on some of your springs and shocks. Already have the Spohn TA and the LCA's.

do you have any lca relocation brackets yet? that'll definitely help if you don't have them already.
i'm just running stock front struts with like 220k on them and monroe replacement rear shocks, trimmed v6 springs, but i'm not making the kind of power you are.

well i can foot brake a 1.36, and trans brake a 1.28, so i guess that qualifys me to answer right. I use koni spa 1's up front and moroso trick springs, out back factory rear v 8 springs and also spa1's on full stiff all the way around, i have made lower control arm relocation brackets so i can have some adjustability, also have a killer rear anti roll bar, the drag bar that they make will be ok for most cars, provided you at least have subframe connectors

Everything up front is stock, chained down with maybe 1" or less of travel. Stock V-8 springs on the rear with the Competition Engineering 3way adjustable stocks on 40/60. Spohn TA, Hotchkis LCA's in stock location and spohn rear drag swaybar. 1.395 60ft. n/a.

I have had the spohn relocation brackets in the past when I had the 10 bolt. but since I put in the Moser 9" I haven't put them back on. May try those again and then get some Moroso front springs. Has anyone used the Strange Engineering adjustable rear shocks? They have a dial so that you don't have to disconnect them to adjust the setting.
Car_fixer do you like the drag roll bar? How much of an improvement did you see? Anyone else have any tips to hook the car on a big shot? Remember I'm using 255/50/16 MT Radials. Thinking of going back to the regular ET Streets.

Re: What shocks and springs are you guys using? (6.90's & faster)
my post was kind of confusing, i dont have the drag bar, i built my own, however the drag bar looks like a good setup to retain a fuel tank
thats mine, no way to use a factory fuel tank with it
the only problem with the drag bar might be the attachment points at the body, otherwise it looks like a good piece and the strange shocks are pretty good, how ever you adjust fronts more than rears, so dont get real hung up on that, konis on full stiff in the rear work pretty good , might need to loosen up for a rough track but chances are if you need to do that you probably wont want to run there

I have SSM lift bars, with eibach drag launch springs and koni adjustable shocks and struts.......set the struts all the way loose, and have the rear shocks 1 click away from stiffest.......car launches pretty consistantly with good track prep, and straight as an arrow. theres some wheels-up pics if you go to my garage page.

I have koni spa1 with 175 pound springs up front. Rear springs are stock with 1/2 coil cut and strange shocks. I'm also running the spohn drag bar on the rear since I still have the stock gas tank in the car. I have been 5.57 in the 1/8.

What brand and where did you get the front springs? Are they the Moroso trick springs? Also, are the strange shocks the dual adjustable or single? How much do you think that the drag bar helped you? Thanks in advance.

They are QA1 springs. I have coil overs on the front. Moroso trick springs or stock 6 cyl springs work well on the front if you wanna use stock style springs. I ran my stock 6 cyl springs well into the low 9's. The strange shocks are single adjustable. The rear drag bar is critical. Without it a hard leaving car will twist badly.

Re: What shocks and springs are you guys using? (6.90's & faster)
that pic also had lots of roll, i would definitly try some lower control arm relocators and a rear anti roll bar, even a stock one will help, a drag bar would be good if you have alot of power, I can run a foot brake and have like no movement other than foreword like this
and thats a 5.95 1/8, 9.29 1/4 1.36 60 ft

QA1 coilovers with 175lb springs in the front with Tokico illumina 5 ways. The rear is stock springs, QA1 adjustable shocks, wolfe anti-roll bar, and everything else has been replaced with spohn adjustable pieces. No times yet, but should be good for 1.3's in the 60, car also has tubular kmember and a-arms.
