The makings of a beast.
You'd better up the stall another 1000. Single plane intakes don't do well down low.
Hope the 10-bolt can handle it.

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.
Maybe 4.10 gears? I dont really think my 10 bolt gonna go that fast im not gonna be running faster then 11.5+ ive seen people get deep into the 10's with 100's of races using 10 bolt
Im glad yall like it soo far for what i paid for it should be very likable lol

Looks good man, Bet you cant wait to drive it. I would keep the 3.73s in the 10 bolt and if it breaks put 4.xx in the new rear you get.

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.
My trans-am 10 bolt has treated me nicely for many of years.
When auto it went 10.0 with 1.38 60ft, have since transplanted all in to
a 4th gen with 6 speed, replaced 3.73's with 4.10's and have slipped clutch to 1.50 60s thus far - scared to let it rip to fast with the standard.
But stay with 3.73's for the pinion contact if you can.. My 87 loved 3.73's with 28" tall tire. stay with 26's and you will be just fine, but if you upgrade go 4.10s.
Nice combo, good luck!

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.
Yeah, but not sure I would throw $500 into it either, look for a takeout Torsion, or even a good used one. I refuse to dump lots of money in mine
for the reason it could go at any moment - However I said that back in 2001 whan I started building the car. Its been running in 11s since 2003 and in the 10s since 2005, and coming less that a 1/10th from 9s in 2006.
Really wanted to be one of the only people to go 9s on a 10 bolt.

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.
id say def. look into upgrading that 10 bolt. it wont last long with 3.73's and all that motor in front of it.
dont forget about a nice set of tires too when its ready to roll.
im gonna take a stab and say with practice and a sticky tire you could see mid to low 11's possibly 10's.

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.
Might want some more stall with that combo. Something more along the lines of a 3600-3800. My other car woke up right away by changing stalls. Anything higher would be too high IMO, dont forget a nice tranny cooler!

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.

Yeah dude, looks good. Count your lucky stars that you don't have to drive it to work right? lol.
And ditto to the good luck on the 10 bolt. Maybe wanna try a billet aluminum cover with bearing supports? Wouldn't hurt your luck with it, that's for sure. Also, use a good RTV only on the rear cover, no gasket.

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.
i would go with a 9bolt, or if you are planing on pushing like 1000hp go with a ford 9in. a 9bolt is good for like 500+ hp and 9in is about double. i have a 9bolt in mine just upgraded to 345 and i love it.

Re: My 92 camaro RS project.
A 9bolt is good for 500+ hp if you NEVER get your tires to stick to the ground... there is no way a 9 bolt is holding that much power stock... do a little searching. PLEASE
