From this weekend at Road Atlanta. Turn 5 passing a Cobra and moving into 2nd in Vintage class. Trans fried shortly after this pic, guess I know what I'll be doing in the off-season now!!

Debating between a Jerico 4 speed or a G Force transmission. Leaning towards a Jerico, season starts in February at Barber. I had a WC T5 and it didn't last long behind the engine. Fried shortly after the pic I posted and the only gear it would go into was 5th. Also tired of loosing ground on the guys with a Jerico when I'm shifting gears.....

Lol yeah i was in one of the 'advanced' groups with a Honda event that i crashed and i felt like i was in group 3 at a 3balls.com event. As it turns out the other 'advanced' group had less traffic and i ran that the rest of the day. Passing makes for entertaining video but crummy lap times i just thought some thirdgenners might enjoy watching the abuse of some japanese cars.

I forgot about these videos. Taken March 2012 at Portland in the Grey Chump Camaro above. First one is trying to stay out of trouble. Had massive rain fall for 30 mins during my stint on the back stretch. Kind of dicey.
Second is same 2 hour stint but track drying out. Little oil residue left from a car when it lost the engine and trans all over the back straight.
Second video track cleaned and made driving the car very fun. Sounds healthier than it actually is. Headers and exhaust sound good on the car.

A tube-frame GT1 car with a third-gen body on it!!! The Creative Motorsports chassis uses circle track parts to keep costs down. Mild SBC, 180* headers, jerico and a quick change.

B4CHawk .... put some slicks on that thing and you might make up that 3 seconds. slicks gave me 10 seconds in a 1.9 mile course.. that is a lot.

there is no tire that will compete with racing slicks and still wear on the street. If you want to autocross and you want traction, buy slicks, period. If you race on street tires, then you'll get street tire results, and you'll ruin the tires. If you run more than 2 races per year IMO you really should have slicks. I got my rims for 60bux and the tires used for 200, best investment I've made. As for getting the tires to the track here is the solution to that....
I bought a junk boat trailer and cut it up. got a trailer hitch for my car for free from a fellow road racer. Now I can carry fuel, tools, and tires to the track.

that trailer is a great setup. when i go racing without a support vehicle i have to take the passenger seat out, two slicks just barley fit there.

it dont matter how many times i walk the course. i just dont have the imagination it takes to see a road course. no big deal since the only time i run the cone gauntlet is for checking the car over for a hill climb. i did make it once with out getting lost or hitting any cones.

I am at the very beginning of the build process to turn a very slow 90 rs into a fire breathing CP autocross and SU hillclimb car.
here is the first test fit with the 23/9.5/15 hoosiers

SU? is that a scca class or hill climb? here in idaho i run in spo but that is a nha class. what i really wanted to mention though was the record for the bogus basin hill climb here in idaho was set by a gentleman from south carolina....dang he was fast only made one run, very impressive.
