What would I run?

Just curious what I could expect to run.

This is the engine I have: http://tuffdawgengines.com/chev_350_440hp.htm

Stock 3.42 open differential

G-Force T-5 transmission, with the straight cut gears & dog-ring engagement, I can shift without the clutch (2.94, 1.94, 1.34, 1.0, .59 gear ratios)

Stock V6 suspension, except for UMI subframe connectors. Running on stock street 215 tires. No real weight reduction done.

Only other thing to note is I'm running at a little over 5,000 feet elevation. Obviously, my 60' will be awful, but any estimates on my overall E.T. and mph? Any other info you need for a decent estimate?

Re: What would I run?

No posi and the skinny street tires are really against you. I don't think the car will hook until 3rd gear. And, you already knew that 5K feet elevation is going to impact times as well. No offense, but uncorrected for altitude... most likely 15's or slower and very traction limited.

Re: What would I run?

Sorry for bringing this thread back, but could someone give me a MPH estimate? I know the E.T.'s will have too much to do with traction to give a good estimate, but since you know the horsepower you should be able to give me a good guess at the speed right?
Thanks

Re: What would I run?

Your going to have to run slicks or some street radials. I ran My car for the first time on street brand new 295 kelly charger street tires and I ran a 16.30 at like 86 mph.. I burned the tires through all the gears no prob with posi.. Then my sec run I just took it easy of the line then pined it and still burned out and ran a 14.70.. To end my story I baught a used set of 9" wide slicks and ran a 12.20.. Even if you dont posi it atleas put some good tires on it. My friend has a open rear and he ran slicks and would burn the one alittle bit in the box then when he went on the track it was pretty much posi taking off. Im Thinking if you get some good tires you might be in the high 12's low 13's at around 105 mph
