MT 29.5x10.5x15W slicks, anyone run them?

I was looking at 29.5x10.5x15W Mickey Thompson slicks for my Camaro. Only concern I have is diameter inside the wheelwell, it's pretty close at the bottom. I've got 29x10.5W Hoosiers now.

Consider doing a form of mini tub. They won't fit without some form of modifications.

I had 29.5x10.5 (not the w) back in the day. Had to run a 1" spacer on top of the coils, or the tires hit. Stock wheel tubs, bump stops removed, and bfh on the spare tire bump and some other places.

I'm more concerned with the lower frt. of the wheel well where the ground effects attaches. That's the closest spot. I have coilovers on a crossmember, no factory fuel tank. Wheel wells have been modified as I've had 29x12's under there on 10" wheels.

Unless I looked at the numbers wrong there is a 1 " difference in the tires you talked about.
If you don't do John force style burnouts you might get by with it.
Be cautious, I was not.
31 clear mine. 32 did not (on one burnout anyway). Ran them 4 weekends till this happen. It grew enough to tag the inner well and drug it back into the tire.

Is that the frt. of the wheel well? Wow 31's and 32's are BIG!!! I'm guessing you're car is tubbed or has the rear narrowed.
29x10.5W Hoosier is listed as 29.30 diameter, 29.5x10.5W MT is listed as 29.60 so it's a little more than 1/4" if the rires match the printed spec. I know 28's fit but I really don't want smaller as I definitely don't need more starting line ratio.
I've looked and measure repeatedly as I really don't want to do what you did and I don't want to waste $450 if they won't fit. The frt lower is the only close place. I've worked the wheel well lip in the past and can get a little more if needed. I might have to cut the back part of the groundeffects where it goes into the wheel well for insurance. I really want to try MT's since I'm running a small tire.

Yes that is the front of the wheel well and it is tubbed.
I would call both manufacturers and get as much info as possible about the tires so you can compare. I have seen different numbers on other sites.
I was told a stiffer sidewall will keep the tire from growing as much. I went that route this time and can tell a huge difference. I might have been able to stick with the 32's an save myself a lot of grief.

Re: MT 29.5x10.5x15W slicks, anyone run them?

I've worn out Hoosier and MT over specs, just to be sure. As I said I've never had a MT on the car. I've had hoosiers from 29x10 to 29x12 and Phoenic 28.5x11.5. The Hoosier 10.5W I have now is the first stiff sidewall and i really like it. I was looking at the Pro bracket radial but just don't want to be their tester. I race at some marginal tracks and not sure how the radial would be for consistency bracket racing.
Thanks for the feed back, it looks like I'm going to try them.
