1992 305 TPI and T56 for sale.
Looking to get $600 for the engine. This includes:
58,000 mile 305
All serpentine assessories (no smog pump or smog items)
MFY wire looms
K&N throttle body filter
Aftermarket coil
Complete wiring harness with computer (no cuts except for body side connection can include no ECM related pigtails)
stock manifolds with y-pipe
Brand new O2 sensor, new ford injectors, new plugs..
Basically a low milage good running 305 with a recent tune-up. A few dents in two of the runners, but its ready to drop in pretty much anything.
The T56 has unknown amount of miles on it, but was rebuilt about 30,000 miles ago. I have receipts from the previous owner. Pretty much most of the gears and syncro's were replaced.
Comes with:
Dakota Digital SGI-5B speedo convertor, shifter boot, tranny, bellhousing, master and slave cylinder, cylinder spacer, stock style clutch with less then 500 miles, flywheel, stock shifter, torque arm mount, and exhaust hanger.
Does not come with:
Pedals, crossmember, wire pigtails. (might be able to get the pedals and pigtails but I need to check with the guy I'm getting my LS1 T56 from)
Looking to get $1500 for the T56 setup.
Buy both together and I can do $2000. I can ship them via Forward Air truck freight if you have a terminal near by. Actual shipping costs only, no packing fee.

Car: 1987 trans am GTA - sold
Engine: L98

I am looking for a t-56 rig. It appears that it was in your car - how did it work? Any issues or parts you would have changed? I would need it shipped - also since I am going from an auto car to a manual I would need pedals if possible.

The tranny worked perfect. Stays in every gear, and runs great. I can dig the receipts up to see exactly what was replaced, but it was a lot of stuff. It's the better 94+ T56. You should have a 3.23 rear, which is the lowest I would run with it. Pretty straight forward swap too. If I can get some pedals you're welcome to mine. I'd love to keep this one, but the LT1 style T56 will not work with the LS1 I have sitting in the driveway.
I've been told that these can go fed-ex in two boxes, but if not, be prepared for $100-$150 truck shipping (though fed-ex still won't be cheap)
Thanks,
Kevin D.
