these are not ceramic coated was the thing with me. normally you don't use a y pipe with longtubes. just do dual exhaust. you can however do it but not really worth it in my opinion.

oh they are ceramic coated. i did it myself. Would you feel better if i sprayed something shiny on there. These headers are no different then the high priced ones. I just did all the labor. Maybe if i increase my price to 400 bucks and spray them shiny i might stop getting crap

honestly I would have bought them if they were not long tubes.. I assumed they were shorties. With my car already lowered, I'd have zero ground clearance with full length headers...

i purchased ceramic coating from a speed shop where i got the headers. I am by all right not saying this is "Professiona" job but i followed instructions and i bet it with holds more heat than nothing. Now saying that these headers are 135 new. I paid more than 15 dollars for ceramic spray i can promise you that. and the time i put into it. I will have amod pull this thread in a week if they dont sell. Seems immaturity got the best of this thread.

definitely not trying to dog ya out or anything but if these were coated correctly there would not be surface rust starting to come through on them. these are the exact same color as the hedmans on my vert right now. they are not a dull finish they are a shiny and very brittle black. I have had quite a few sets of headers and most were ceramic coated they never looked like that so maybe mine were bad who knows I am going stainless anyway so like I said in the first place decent deal for someone good luck on your sale.

i agree with you on the surface rust. They sat in between the process. I think they will hold up just nicely. Brand new granted you can get them alittle cheaper but i think once i paint them and re do the ceramic it will look nice. Was your headers grey when you got them?

new they were always black. after coating I have had gloss black and what my coater called sterling which was the shiny silver. if you do these right (media blast then coat go right from one to the other) they will look good but if you let them sit in between you will have brittle spots in the coating because of the oxidation and the coating sticking to that instead of the product being done. I know quite a bit about doing it but I don't have the time or the room to do it. were you doing a spray on ceramic or high temp powder?

no it was a ceramic coating. Paid a decent coin for it. They are glossy black. Those had a little dust on them. And of course the lil surface rust Maybe i can take other pics sometime and dust them off this time
