getting dynoed finally 3/14/09

well after a long time of wanting to get the car dynoed its finally getting done

the last runs on the car last year got me 13 flat on 9 psi of boost with the timming locked out to 12* total

with a race wieght of 3422#'s we figure the car to have about 307rwhp

well since then ive made a few changes to the car, the old t3/t4 turbo was just about maxed out

so now i have added a t3/60-1 turbo and meth injection

the plan is to dyno the car at 9 psi then 18 and hopefully on the last pull we can do a 25-28 psi pull

im hoping to put down around 475-525 rwhp at full boost if no problems arise

soon as i get back from the dyno next saturday vids and sheets will be posted

also no race gas here, this will be done on pumpgas with methanol

Re: getting dynoed finally 3/14/09

ok and update
i ended up butting the car up with the new turbo to find out i had a massive leak
welllllllll

the verdict is cracked block
BUT its runnable

i blew the bottom freeze plug out of the rear of the block, and cracked the block inbetween cyls 4-6 and 3-5 right below the deck about 1/2 - 1 inch inch down from the block deck.

new freeze plug installed, tig welded the block up with nirod and put the trans back in. put a few leak stop tabs in the rad for good measure and i got 0 water leaks.

tyen i proceded to take the car out on the street and beat the piss out of it at 9 psi.

holy mother ****ing **** the car is unreal

videos of carnage and street runs and a flyby to be posted in a lil while

I WILL BE DYNOING THE CAR TOMMOROW MORNING WOOOOOT

How much boost were you running during those passes and the street vid? Do you ever go to cecil? I want to my car there next month after the dyno. Hoping for mid 10s.

cecil is a 2 hour + trip for me i think, e-town is 5 mins from me,but i will be going out to atco a few times this year

9 psi on both street passes.i was gonna put the slicks on first but i just left the street tires on it. Kinda wish i did would a given a better idea but man the car does haul ***

dyno pulls tommorow will prolly be 9 then 13ish then 18psi

the origianl plan was to do the last pull on 28 pounds(14-21-28),but seeing as the block was cracked and is repaired im not gonna push it that hard till i swap my internals into my other block

Re: getting dynoed finally 3/14/09

Should haul some *** with 18 psi. I've never been to englishtown, but I hear the name often. I'm sick of the track up here. (Maple). I'll have to make down there to jersey sometime. Are we ever gonna get to race those GTOs or what?
