For those of you on the bottle, where do you have it mounted?? I'm thinking of putting my car on the bottle. I'm looking for some ideas of where a good place to mount it would be and what to look out for. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated :hail:

350 Carbed engine, Forged pistons, no leaks. Motor was just rebuilt (haven't started it yet since rebuild) Hooking everything back up now.

If we all worried about the what if's? in life..we wouldn't street race?or jump on it full throttle on back roads?...etc etc.It fits..it works..I'll worry about it when that time comes.

I wasn't trying to be a dick..I may have worded that wrong.No offense intended or taken.I put mine there to conceal it the best and easiest way possible.I know what you know really..no tricks with where it is located.At the time I installed it I didn't want a bottle sitting behind me on the cargo shelf or in place of one of the rear seats.If the bottle vent decides to open for whatever reason I want it is far away from me as possible..I would rather it vent back there than 1 foot behind my head.For that reason I will live with the what if I get hit factor.

How's that been working for you having it back there?? Run into any problems with installation? I've just been trying to figure out the best spot to put mine

A little PITA to get the bottle in and out sometimes but other than that not to bad.NX supplied a long enough feed line to reach the juice noid on the motor so that helped out alot..actually have a little extra slack which is nice.I have seen a few other N20 manufacturers that didn't supply a feed line long enough to mount it in the spare well.Maybe that is why others mount the bottle in the back seat and such?!And I like it in the well as it is out of sight..and direct sunlight.Installation was easy..mounting the noids was the hardest part as I wanted a custom setup.

A tyre well mounted Bottle is safe, tidy and concealed. If you ever manage to get hit from behind and the bottle top does rupture off, the bottle will want to go down , not fly up as the pressure will be focused towards the roof, forcing the bottle to want to travel down. So its as safer place as any to mount it inside a car.

I thought the additive in automotive N20 was supposed to make you sick? :shrugs: who knows, maybe it would be enough of a buzz to make you forget about the damage to your car.

Err what I failed to mention was if there was a fire the Nitrous might help feed it by giving it an oxygen boost!! ROFL

As they say " Its better to burnout than it is to fade away"

i wouldnt see there being a problem with the bottle back there.

lets all remember the fact that nitrous is NOT flammable, so the only time i would be worried, would be when the gas tank is on fire.

if the fire does not have anymore fuel to feed it, the nitrous isnt gonna do a whole lot, and the chances of the bottle bursting are slim, once again UNTIL the car is already on fire.


so kids, when the junks on fire, get the hell out, as if it wasnt obvious enough.

how about mounting it right behind the rear seats,also does anyone know how much feed line "NOS" gives you because im going to buy a kit in about 3 weeks for my 305 tbi.





That should help me at the track.

a -6 15 foot line, like most Bigger kits use, will hold 1 lb of nitrous, so everytime you disconnect it, you lose 1 lb.
