Nitrous questions on QJet 350
I've found a guy locally selling a NOS Sniper system (spreadbore flange) with a remote opener for $200, complete and barely used.
1. What kind of fuel system requirements do I need to meet to run over a 100 shot? I already have a Carter 6psi electric street pump and Carter 6psi mechanical street pump going through 3/8" line from pickup to inlet. Will this cover it?
2. How does the factory LG4 ECM respond to nitrous? Will it even matter? It's borderline as it is with the engine I have.
3. I've got a factory 4 bolt main 010 block, factory steel crank, and cast pistons of unknown brand. 50K miles on the rebuild. Runs great, compression is excellent with very little leakdown. Is the 150 shot safe?
4. What to do about timing? I've heard you need to subtract 2 degrees total timing for every 50hp you spray. But the LG4's timing curve is already very weak. Can I leave it alone?

Hi I am running 150 hp shot on my stock 86 z28 305 and it is working very well so far. I ran a 10 pound bottle through it at 100 hp and now am up to 150 hp. My edelbrock system requirments are 6-7 psi working fuel presure and I am running my stock fuel pump. If it is a wet system that you are installing is should have no bearing on the computer at all becsuse it is a stand along system. I have read that 150 is and is not safe on cast pistons (should have forged) that is the major thing becase of there ping resistance but as I said mine are stock. Yes 2 degrees per 50 hp is recomended but you can keep tuning for peek performance from there. I hope I have answered some of your questions and I hope you try the juice because I am sure loving it!!!!!!!!!!!!
