xpndbl3, lemme know when u come to new york and we'll line up haha I'm only running an 8pt bar and it is legal, i have my IHRA license and all.. What makes it legal is that i still have all my stock floor pans and stock firewall, if you have modified either of these then you need a 10pt
Free Bird, Nice Numbers! I'd say they are impressive, 551 to the wheels is awesome!
C'mon nitrous guys, chime in here anytime.. All i've been seeing lately is turbo this turbo that and some big power numbers but we can outdo them haha

i hope you get your 9 second slip. i'm staying on this side of 9 seconds since i didn't weld up my whole 10 point cage, only did the 6 point for now.

how about this. had an old 350 setup that went 13.0 on nuts and 11.50s all day long on a 150 shot. haven't had the new setup tuned yet. But what does IHRA allow a 8 point cage down to with stock floor pans and firewall(Which i have).
and no i don't think i went out to GLD the other night, although how'd the runs look from the stands? might go to street car chaos at 41 tomorrow night though. i want to pull the front wheels

tame but it's actually in the work parking lot everyday.
12.63 @ 109 1.77 60' on motor 11.38 @ 118 1.5560' on 100 shot. 2600 stall and 3.07 gears. ( stock D-36 rear)
355
9.8-1
cam 218-230 @ .050
750 VS, with elec. choke hooked up and working.
On the chassis dyno the 100 made 360 HP @ 5900 495TQ @3100
the 150 made 380 HP @ 5900 600TQ @ 3200.
I agree it's cheap, and when not in use the motor doesn't have to suffer to lug it around.

Thats awsome. Can you use the stock steering components with the PA K member. I thought you had to use a rack set up?
Did you port your vic junior at all? When I assembled my motor I was noticing it seemed a little smaller then the ports on the heads!

Wow finally some input! Nice numbers guyz!!
seejgo, what kind of compression are you making with that setup?
Motor City Mike, 9.54 @ 144.8 mph, nice numbers!
Honestly i'm hoping for a 10.6 @ 127mph naturally aspirated and a 140mph trap with a 200shot i can't really guess on the ET cuz i dont have a clue, but like i said b4 a mid to high 9 is what i'd like to see I need to get my car backhalved! That'll be my next project, except i'll probly backhalve it and front halve it at the same time, maybe even build a nasty bigblock and go race HotRod and SuperRod

Now why would you want to carry all that weight down the track?? You can make more HP per Cube with a S/B,Not more Hp,More Per Cube. Its not the size of your wand its the magic in it !

No dyno numbers yet but my times made a jump from 13.42 @ 102 to an 11.55 @ 119 on a 210 shot Didn't launch on the button so it probably could have been better. Didn't get a chance to try again that night

are u using a custom exhaust headers or off shelf header. How much does your heads flow??valve sizes??.something like this requires alot of maintence id imagine(checking valve springs). So basically this motor u just tow it to the staging lanes, start it up make a run ,shut it down, tow it back right???.u cant idle it long??

My car weighs about 3300 lbs, i took alot of weight out of it without gutting it totally, full interior, added alot of lightweight suspensino parts rather then the stock crap, chomoly kmember and Aarms, etc..
Well i wanted to see how nasty i could build a small block, NA, and keep it totally street mannered and drivable, and i accomplished my goal and then some, this thing is awesome. But i'm one of those guyz that gets more satisfaction out of the work put into it.. I also wanna build another small block, someting street drivable again but bigger cubes, like 470ci or something, and then toss on some nitrous and aim for 1000hp.. Then theres the big block thing, i wanna do the same with a big block, 540ci or whatever, soemtihng along those lines.. What can i say the wheels are always turning in my head, so many ideas, so little time..

That is what I am working on now also , weight reduction. I still have full interior, power windows ETC. I am waiting for my tubular K Member and am fighting with the idea of Back Halfing. I only want to back half so that I can run a "W" tire. I am the same way, I would rather work on the car than dirve it. I usually have another guy drive on spray, it is a handful, and I am just not ready for that yet. #3300 LBS with a full tank and you in the seat ??

3300lbs by itself, approx. 3470 with me in it, got a prediction for me?
I will eventually backhalf my IROC, i have two jobs, one is a professional engine building facility (Jan-Cen Motorsports) and the other is a professional chassis shop (Vito Antonicelli Race Cars) So i'm screwed on both ends, i have to have a killer motor and a killer chassis setup lol.. Couple years it'll be backhalved, fronthalved, and fully caged
