Difference - Cold Air and Ram Air
Does anyone know what the difference is between a cold air intake and Ram air intake. and the benifits and drawbacks of each???

cold air is just that, "cold" as opposed to "hot" underhood. This can be taken from anywhere, such as a hood scoop, cowl hood, under fender scoop, etc...
ram air is an attempt to use the "ram" effect to force additional air into the engine at speed. This is typically taken from a scoop on the leaing edge of the bodywork (like under the bumper) or more typically from the high pressure boundary area where the cowl meets the windshield.
