need advice on blowthrough setup

First of all here is my current setup

engine 1976 010 big casting 4 bolt 350 bored .040 over
gm forged crank, x rod, gm dish piston about 9.0-1 comp
xe 274 cam, rpm perf head 64cc, rpm air gap and holley 650 dp

about 350-375 hp

For the supercharger setup, i'm 90% sure my engine can handle 8psi, so this winter im thinking about going with a ps1sc, they seem to be good and should be just enough for me....this is a fun car, not daily and not shooting for low 10 anytime soon.

just to be sure im on the right track
fuel...Aeromotive Street / Strip (SS) Fuel Pump, P/N 11203...but need a regulator and fmu???witch one

igniton
stock hei dist....not sure cause never add any prob in 6000rpm+ range....I may need a msd box or something similar

carb mine is enough but where can i find kit to make it a blowthrough

if there is other thing to add feel free....it may be on the low budget side, but any idea will be welcome.

btw....the rest of the car can handle the power

Thanks every one

Seb

Re: need advice on blowthrough setup

fuel pump- Aeromotive A1000 (#11101 ?)
regulator- Aeromotive boost referenced (13202/13204)
No FMU
~ 1/2" line (-08an)

I also vote yes on the MSD box

As for carb, easy to do yourself. There is a "how-to" over at the turbo mustang site. If you can't find, I'll look for the link- worst case I can help walk you through it.

www.theturboforums.com or it might be www.theturboforum.com -- it's one of those--for the how to on setting up for blow through, although without a wideband for tuning, this is very dangerous on your own.

Re: need advice on blowthrough setup

I though the aeromotive ss pump was enough since on there site they claim good for 200-700hp....and im shooting for 550-600fwhp

for msd box witch one?? there is so much choice....maybe a boost sensitive one

thanks for the input on the carb....for the final tune dont worry, Ill pay someone I know....and hes the only mecanic that can touch my car beside of me....he may even do my carb mod.

if there is other option bring them on

Re: need advice on blowthrough setup

For fuel pump, don't worry about horsepower claims- those are for naturally aspirated. You need something capable of higher pressure/volume since you will be increasing fuel pressure per pound of boost with the boost referenced regulator.

As for Msd- 6BTM is boost referenced (good idea for pump gas). I run a 6AL with my timing locked.

I too recommend a wbo2. I use the innovative one with data logging.

Other things to consider: 1) above ~6psi may want to consider a single plane intake for better fuel distribution 2) possibly a cam better suited to a blower application
