headers will work fine.
some of the newer heads 76+ have this extra threaded manifold bolt hole.
also IIRC the stock manifold may work too, Ive never had an issue.

- Ford Windstar electric fans. Worked when pulled, but missing all hardware- 15.00
- 94-97 Pontiac Trans-Am factory Air box and elbow. Elbow has tear where it meets throttle body. This is for a MAF...

im looking for a set of underdrive pulleys from an 85-87 SBC. IIRC they are the same for the montes and trucks, and f-bodies.

what kind of distributor are you running? anything done to the motor?
i would try throwing more timing into it, with the vac advance disconnected. get it up around 16* initial.
