It's the smaller fuel gauge used in the "gauges" cluster.

Thanks for the assistance @85Z28NOS. However, both depicted grilles won't fit my model Camaro. (Already tried once before with a RS/Z28 grille...attachment points and length are all wrong.)

Winter was not kind to my 25 y.o. Camaro's front grille. I now have a hole in the driver's side where the plastic broke.

First time poster; long time lurker; long time access to a 1986 Camaro.

WRT the machine, it's as stock as it can be: 2.8L V6, manual tranny, red/red interior, electric windows, basic climate...
