This is my 3rd 700 to go into, knew the 4l60e was probably the same gear. Just never messed with them to know for sure.

You are right, lt1 type 4l60e would be just fine.
I have the dang LS style 4l60e. It's kinda a sob story so I will spare you.
But I'm just trying to make due with what I got as cheep as possible....

From what I am reading the Gen I SBC crank is 0.400 longer (long crank) than an LS crank. So that makes the pilot hole for the TC hub to shallow. In-turn pushes the TC back 0.400.

Thanks, I think I have it wrong. If I run an LS style 4l60e behind a gen1 SBC. the TQ will be pushed back 0.400. That is probably too much.
You are back 0.130.

I wonder if I can run a trans dapt...

Could be picking up on fumes from the engine. If I am right you are running rich, and there is un-burnt gas fumes lingering in your engine.

Not 100% sure but that sounds right, 0 volts would be the outside air. So if you are saying it is reading less than 0.1 or 0.2 volts I would say that is close to open air. Maybe it is picking up on...

You can test the o2 with a volt meter, however I can not tell you which wire. You need to find the signal wire it will produce a 1 volt signal.
Anything bellow 0.4 volts = lean
Anything above 0.4...

The noise it makes is not as relevant as the leak itself. If there is a leak and it is letting air in then the 02 will read lean (0 to 0.4 volts) and cause a false lean condition. A good scan tool...

Didn't read through all your tread but I watched the video and it really sounds like a bad exhaust leak not a rocker tapping. If it is an exhaust leak then it could cause a false lean condition....

I have just been through this with my aftermarket set up. See if you can find a spot on the return line you can clamp. and try the test again. That will help rule out the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

With the extra o-ring on the bottom. The fuel rail wouldn't line up with the bolt holes. I pulled the o-rings off and the fuel rail sat right down into place. No spacer or o-ring...
