start up idle issue

So the issue that I had was that the car would take forever to turn over and when it did, it idled extremely rough. Sometimes it would turn off. So i figured out that the fuel regulator was leaking....

No problem. I dont quite remember exactly what was loose, but the throttle body was leaking air. It was easy for me to find though. hope that helps.

thanks, I dont have any pics right now. I can try to get some. like said, I know that all L98 in a trans am came with the oil cooler. Im not sure about the IROC though.

I would check the filter first. if thats not it, it could be the injectors. Or the fuel regulator is bad.

I would definately replace the valve seals. They tend to go alot on these older engines. If you're burning oil, it could lead to further issues.

When I had a 1990 RS with a 305 TBI, i had a similar issue. What happened was that the throttle body wasnt bolted together tight, so it was leaking air. Because of this, the engine was working harder...

I had a similar issue. Does the car smell like gas? if so, the fuel regulator could be leaking. That fixed it for me.

every bumps a pot hole!

New Tranny

So my tranny is crap. It slips like hell and makes a raddle sound. I wanna get a new one but not sure what to get. Suggestions? Im lookin for a decent quality tranny that is not $5000.

theyre 1 piece aluminum. i think they mite be crager but not sure. they mite be factory as well. the guy i get em from said it needs 2 clips on top and a few suction cups for the bottom.
