Re: Holley Terminator EFI

I love my Avenger EFI. I'm just not sure why you guys don't let the ECM control timing. I like being able to adjust air/fuel AND timing from the handheld.

O2 placement tuning is done in the Closed Loop Speed setting based on 1-5. Set it at 5 if it is very close to the engine. Set it at 1 if it is way back after the collectors. I set mine at 4 since my...

Re: Holley Terminator EFI

For my Avenger timing, I revved the engine to 3K and watched the handhelds timing. Then I put a light on the damper and revved the engine to 3k. I turned the dizzy until my damper showed the same...

I'm running an Airtex E3210, which is just a cheap TPI replacement pump. My Avenger TBI only needs 21psi.

I mounted my Avenger box under the dash. It mounted perfectly to some holes that GM put in the dash frame. No drilling needed.

I have the Holley Avenger 700cfm TBI. I also have it controlling the timing using the stock-style distributor. That's one of the main advantages these kits have. The Avenger also has a built in AFPR....

Re: Pics of my Z28's exhaust

The head pipes are mandrel bent. The OTA pipe is too. It's 2.5" into 3". And yes I beat the pipe with a hammer so it would tuck up better. I'm sure this system can support at least 400hp, which is...

Re: 1995 chevy tahoe FS

Good price. 1995 was a great/rare year for the Tahoe. It was the only year you could get the old engine with the new interior.

Pics of my Z28's exhaust

I made this. The front half is stainless steel. The rear half is mild steel. I have an open plate in the right tailpipe to bypass the muffler. I'm using the Jegs shorty headers.

Re: Intake Coolant Lines Rear to Thermostat Housing -Why? What advantage?

Those rear coolant outlets really aren't needed. Even if coolant in the rear of the engine was a little hotter than the front, the oil would still keep the entire engine at roughly the same temp....

Re: tpi cooling lines

You shouldn't need a TB heater unless you plan on driving when the temp is below zero. Their only purpose is to prevent the TB from freezing.

Re: RamJet 350 Clone (Almost) Cam Help!!

The L98, L31, and B-body LT1 cams are all very similar. The F-body LT1 cam is noticeably bigger. You could even put some 1.7 RR's on it. An LT4 cam with 1.5 rockers would be similar to an LT1 cam...

Re: Is it a 305 or 350 or a 383 stroker How do you tell

Remove a spark plug and put a rod down the cylinder. Something rigid yet flexible. Rotate the engine. The rod will go down 3.75 inches if its a stroker, and 3.48 if it's not.

Re: 1985 IROC Z28 For Sale!! $8000.00 (mods)

You said it's an IROC clone so you should just list it as a Z28. It's not an IROC. Did the 350 really come out of a Corvette? Does it have aluminum heads?

Re: New radiator, hoses 180 Tstat still hot

Is your water pump old? I've seen engines overheat at idle because the water pump fins were worn out and couldn't pump enough water at idle. The temp would go down after revving the engine up.

Re: Using green coolant but red tint coming out of head

Was it rust from the outside of the block? If your trans coolor was leaking, the fluid in the radiator would look the same.... and it would be foamy.

Re: Those with caster/camber plates

You don't remove the nuts, just loosen them. You'll have to push it really hard. It's easier when you can move it and hold it in place while a friend tightens the nuts.

Re: Mishimoto Alum. Rad

I don't think I would use a radiator cap with that much pressure. 19psi is really high and will more than likely cause a leak somewhere in the cooling system. I usually use 10-15psi caps. It's less...
