There was a wire going from that relay over to the AC area. I have removed my AC so I am hoping that's what it was for because I have no idea where it went.

Everyone always tells me the Hooker Header 2055 I believe the number was, are the best. They are pretty pricey but everyone likes those apparently.

Yes, the one from my 91 looks exactly like the one on page three that you mentioned.

This means I will have to pull the tailhousing and drive gear out of my 88 and put it on the trans in my 91,...

I believe you can use the third gen TPI cable or a factory LT1 cable. I am not 100% positive but I am pretty sure that's what I heard in some other threads. (don't hold me to it though.)
