Alright if anyone sees this post and has the same issues, I went ahead and replaced the heater core and I now have no leaks. Turns out there is a pretty common problem with the brass inlet/outlet...

Here is the picture with labels because it is a little hard to define. But where the coolant lines I drew are where it is leaking down from. Any suggetsions?

210 is probably perfect if that motor is original to the car. My whole theory behind mine, its a GenII SBC and I think they would operate between 190-210. Mine however if I am driving around town...

also one small thing to look at, something i just assumed could only run one direction before, if you have ever messed with your fans make sure theyre pulling not pushing. i wired mine up to a switch...

unplug your dizzy from any power wires, take off the cap, take off the dizzy hold down clamp, wiggle it loose. from where the point is underneath the cap, rotate it 180* wiggle it in and reverse this...

Aha I see. So would a single fan wired to a toggle be sustainable for a 160 temp?

The reason I ask is because right now I have a 180 in a 350. And it seems to like to run about 200-210 right...

If a Camaro's normal opearating temp is 200 - 220, and you are running a 160* thermostat..when it reach's its op temp. wouldnt it stay open the rest of the time the car...

Tranny Swap 700r -> th350 ->700r

My question for ya is, can I swap v6 700 r4 to a v8 700r4 with no alterations to any original wiring for the tranny?


It is a carb'd motor w/ th30 and am not running the computer anymore.

Your gonna measure from where the tailshaft bolts onto the end of the tranny. Yes longs are 9" and I have heard that there's medium abd short tail shafts that are 5" abd 3" but I think that's...

I actually recently have done that, and the only thing i had to get new was a cross member. And if you have any fab experience or know of anyone who does, take off your torque arm mounting hardware...
