Well cops already don't like me. A Camaro with 3" Flowmasters, wide body and a custom hood doesn't really help. So I think some butter fly hood scoop couldn't really make it any worse.

I've seen that pdf. before. It seems that the 177 is only a few inches taller then the 142.
So I'm just going to take my chances and if I have to put a hood scoop then I guess it's going to look bad...

You will also need more tools if you re-doing the bottom end. You'll need a piston ring compressor and so on. As for spring compressors, it's on how much you want to spend you can buy assembled...

I got the 305 out with all the pulleys on there and with the radiator out. I did have a little problem with the crank pulley clearing, but with a little moving around every thing came out as a hole...
