The only thing that I did differently than from the instructions, was that I pushed back the rear mounting bracket a little less than half an inch farther back. Maybe that gave it a little bit extra...

I re-adjusted the shift cable and it works perfectly. And with the easy shifting out of park, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

B&M Megashifter is Great! But...

Spent a few hours today installing my B&M Megashifter into my 92 RS. Install went pretty smooth, adjusting the switches on the shifter to get it to start properly and keep the reverse lights off...

I have to agree, I don't know to many people who are on the market for a 4 cylinder Camaro... The ONLY reason I would save this car is because it would be cheaper and easier to swap out an f-body...

Ok, I found out that only 7,106 1992 Camaros came with the G80 RPO but I'm pretty sure somebody must of installed on in my car...

Sure that answers it for the 91 Camaros, but I have a 92 and now I'm starting to think mine was not stock with the limited slip because I do not have the G80 RPO listed in my list...

Yeah, finished up the rear diff today, adding my fluids and what not. Only took me 4 hours because the fill hole bolt was stripped as all could be and I ended up breaking a socket, and my drill...

Talked to the guy at work that I bought the motor from, turns out the holes are indicators to show what way to put the pistons in. And I asked him if remembered what the dish size on the pistons...

Well, I'm not sure what the holes are for either. The holes are in the same spot on every piston facing the front of the engine...

How to look up stock number?

I know every car ever made has a stamp on it somewhere that shows what number it was off the assembly line. I was wondering where at on a 92 Camaro do we find the stock number of the car? Thanks!

22cc dish pistons
Cut the guides
Screw in studs (ARP)
Springs (crane)
new valve stem seals
guide plates?????

Would it be best to swap out my 700R4 for lets say a T5 or T56? I'm sure a manual will hold up to a torque monster better than an auto will.

Yes it does, it's a very clean smooth but precise transaction between all the gears. I went through all the gears on the lever underneath with the cable unhooked to make sure my trans was not messed...

Thanks for the info, the last owner ran that cam in this block with 305 heads and a 650 Holley on his pulling tractor. I figured that cam was all wrong, but wanted a better explanation as to why.
