Re: Tuning with the EBL

I did not adjust VE because it runs great with almost perfect AFR when warmed up. Wouldn't changing the VE tables make me too rich when at temp? Also, no AE light. This event is the first minute when...

Re: Tuning with the EBL

Hi All. I have been trying to figure this issue out for a while now. I haven't found the exact issue here. I am running lean when I first start up cold to the point I get some lean pops through the...

Re: Tuning with the EBL

Here is one I don't beleive is related to the tune. I have an EBL flash unit and every once in a while when sitting at a stop light the idle jumps from 850 to 2000 and then slowly comes back down to...

Re: EBL Flash VE, SA, Help!

Bingo! There is my issue. I do not know when or how I changed the CTS Coolant Comp Bias to 16.87 but it was surely changed and the table never was. I will change that back. One question on the table....

Re: EBL Flash VE, SA, Help!

bizzybone485, I hope I am not hijacking your thread with questions you aren't interested in as well.
So, I made a spreadsheet and entered the parameters for SA in 5 examples to see if the total SA...

Re: EBL Flash VE, SA, Help!

Thanks so much for the answers. Now I think finally understand SA enough to go see what is truly happening.

:thanks:

Re: EBL Flash VE, SA, Help!

So let me see I understand the intial SA subtraction. Let's say there are no adders or subtracters going on. If my Intial SA is at 10* and my SA Table calls for 18* at a certian point, would I see 8*...

Re: EBL Flash VE, SA, Help!

I am very interested in the SA discussion in this thread. I was wondering how the SA in the WUD logs is calculated for the EBL Flash. I am seeing different SA values in the log than what is in the SA...

Re: EBL - AFR vs RPM & VAC

I would like to resurrect this thread with a quick question. I have the Flash EBL and I was looking at a log I took and found the Commanded AFR was always rich. That is when I found this table. The...

Re: Tuning with the EBL

>>It appears it's equal length runners to all 8 cylinders on top of a rather large plenum, with dual single bore TBI units ?

Yes, exactly. That is why I am baffled at the moment. I had the IACs...

Re: Tuning with the EBL

Thanks RBob. Brain cramp. Forgot to add Quench to the calculation. I can only guess at that since I did not deck the motor and I am running the thick head gaskets and never measured it. I would guess...

Re: Tuning with the EBL

Ok. Checked timing. With EST disconnected at an idle I am at 10*. Reconnect the EST and the WUD shows 6* and the timing mark is showing just between 7* and 8*. Close enough? or do I have something...

Re: Tuning with the EBL

Good info on the INT I was thinking locked at 128 was normal in a WB open loop learn but wasn't sure. As far as timing, I am set at a base of 10 because the motor starts nice there. I have the Idle...

Re: Tuning with the EBL

This is my first post here. I have read this entire thread and I must say it contains a wealth of knowledge. First, background on my set up. It is a 383 with a crossfire system in a vette. It has RHS...
