Lets see engineering is a 355 around a 78 block running a decent lunati cam heads are just stock for the engine have the timing set at 30* advance. Just put in dual be cool fans and a duel core...

This one goes in from the top of the block first and the external one goes into it right? Or does it go in from the bottom which means I need to take the oil pan off?

I did a 350 swap to carb. The block that I got is a driverside dipstick. I read on some board that there is an internal dipstick "guide" bought it from Chevy went to put new upper tube some Mr gasket...
