I have been reading about a lot of guys who have experienced vapor locking when temps get hot outside. I had the same problem and it appears I have found a possible solution. Clogged vapor...

Well it looks like it is the vapor canister being clogged problem is I can find one for an 87 IROC VIN G.

Man I have an 87 IROC 305 with the same exact problem! You described the problem to a T....Mine just started and was thinking it was the fuel pump...Where is it loacted?

It took me 4 hours last night to get the freakin small hose off....Couldn't get to it my the underside of the car....Doesn't look like you can get to much from the underside of the car!

Yeah I have to replace both hoses as I had to cut them to get them off. 25 year old hoses are bascially melted on. There is so much stuff around that firewall it made it very hard getting them off...

Aside from the top screw on the heater core cover the biggest problem I am having is reaching the bottom of the 2nd heater core hose that connects to the metal line connecting back to the radiator. ...
