Try flipping the driveshaft 180 degrees. My 88 did the same thing. Flipped the driveshaft, no vibes.

You should have 2 support bars that come down and land against the firewall. Those will give you your u-bolt mounting drill points. Then you use a 1 3/4 hole saw in the center. You have to elongate...

ALOT... comes all the way to the top. Releases near the top which is why most people go with an adjustable like Tick. I for one, cannot afford that so I deal. But I also dont have to push the clutch...

I dont believe its possible to mount the pedals too far away. They only go in one way and to my recolection have no adlustments.
And the black crap in the pic is silicone caulking to seal it up...

Terrible picture but the first time I installed everything I went by the factory cutouts in the rubber backing. Ended up toasting 2 masters. Blew seals in #1 and bent the rod in #2. Found the support...

Actually I had 400 to the rear wheels on a cam only setup with lt's and full exhaust plus a good HP tuners tune. This was a shitty '98 LS1 with the origional garbage heads. LS motors are FAR better...
