The book calls it a damping valve ,my car is a 1991 trams am GTA, 5.7 tpi.

Ok here is latest , I have replaced map sensor again and the tps . What I have discovered is that the tps keeps losing it's base setting of .54

It was with the pieces when I got car and didn't know where it went,
A repair manual shows it but not what all it connects to
The side tees into throttle body then the little end heads to toward...

On a 1992 5.7 tpi there is a vaccum diffuser that is suppose to connect to throttle body and then connects to two different places , do you know where the other two ends connect?

Vacuum lines are hooked up, ( according to diagram ) but in a book I did see a little black thing ( diffuser) that looks like it hooks to throttle body ( idk where other ends hook.)Can't find...

Ses light ? No engine light ( no errors) if that what your asking, and the tps is set at .54volts

It runs great when first started but after it warms up
It wants to loose rpm's when hitting the accelerator.
I have put a new oil send unit, temperature...

Do you know how I can tell it iac is working ? I had it out and turn key on and it didn't move but I don't know if that correct way of checking

No gas in vacuum line to regulator but car as been sitting all day , but will drive an recheck tomorrow

I think my trunk motor no good , I have power to it and little switch seem to turn off light so I assume it working and I replaced relay and motor still isn't pulling down , guess need find motor

Where does that switch that u mention wire into?
Is that what is suppose be in holes in my trim ( switches?)
I can't find any info on or where to get and I don't see where they would wire up at

Plenty of spark and all ignition parts have been replaced
As well as sensors including oil etc etc, and no vats problem, no light staying on
It is not getting the pulse signal from ECM

Was wanting to check wires going intO the ECM
Does anyone have diagram of ECM pins ?
Mainly want to check grounds...
