If you want to stay away from computer controlled and support 500hp I would use turbo 400 but they do make a non computer controlled 700r4 but you will have to put some work into a 700r4 to Handel...

Ok well it looks like I'm pulling it apart this weekend. I believe it's the 3rd to 4th shift fork but I'll know for shore by next week. I've called most of the local parts stores and can't fined much...

It's not a durability problem with the 9 bolt and with minimal searching on google I have found all the parts for mine but they are a bit pricey and don't forget the 4th gen rear is wider so...
