well got the solenoid and applied 12v no audible click heard. even tried blowing through and couldnt. i have the shiny metal nipple going to EGR and the bottom one going to vacuum source

no i didnt test it i just thought it was bad since the code was for over voltage or weak vacuum. do i just apply 12v and listen for a click and try to blow through? im assuming when 12v is applied...

this is where i moved the choke thermostat to. car fired right up and i set fast idle to 1800 really got scared turning to 2200, 1800 seemed pretty fast and loud

ok so i turned the choke cover counter clockwise all the way and attempted to start the engine but i think it was too rich cause the engine would not start then she backfired once, gas smell around...

yesterday i installed the new o2 sensor, that 2500 tool kit had a socket to remove it making life so easy. man i love that tool kit :D

No my SES bulb works, i just meant i have no codes KOEO (key on engine off) except for tbe code 12. i was asking if GMs OBD was like Fords and you can do a KOER (key on engine running) to check...

Well the car is not rich anymore, or its not noticable. I turned both mixture screws all the way in and motor still ran smooth

Hopefully the dwell meter will come tomorrow so i can adjust it and...

No i dont quite follow. Do you mean resetting the mixture screws back to 3.5 turns and turning the rich/lean stops?

Turning the mixture screws all the way in will stall the engine correct? If not...

first pic shows plunger depressed 2nd is released and against rich stop screw.

UPDATE: i got the kit today. i got the MCS set using the shaft tool. when i was checking the rich stop i got 10/32 at full depress and 5/32 released so would the ECM be able to operate with 5/32...

So in other words the float arm is not supposed to be lifting the needle at all, it just releases pressure and i should adjust the hanger


small update, i just checked the gas cap and no hiss
