Re: H/C/I TBI 305

Um.. I'm not exactly sure here, but why are you aiming so low? You can make mid 200's as you're asking without swapping the stock heads. There are several all-motor 305 builds that have led too 350+...

Fuel injector selection

Well I'm looking to turbo my carb'd 305 (previous LO3), It's currently got stock internals and I'm planning to keep it that way with a turbo until I get a bit more time to do a intake manifold and...

Re: Overheating?

Hey man thanks for the reply. I learned it was a bad radiator, so I purchased a Spectre aliminum radiator and replaced the stock one. The stock one landed me 37$ at the scrap yard because of the mass...

Re: Keeping up with todays rides

I don't worry too much about V6 sports cars especially chargers, I walked on a 3.5 the other day like he was silly and his car was modded.. That's like a self-o-steem boost of some sort haha.

Re: Keeping up with todays rides

Well, if your thirdgen makes 350+/- at the crank it's going to be a pretty quick ride, and I'd def. take him with the 5.7 hemi because of weight difference, but the freaking boss 302 and stuff like...

Keeping up with todays rides

Is anyone finding it hard to keep it with todays rides? I have a friend who just purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi, rated at 395 horsepower.. And then I got to thinking, yeah it's...

Re: Stupid trunk latch..

I've tried that, but it's got way too much play in it. The eletric to it works just fine the motors shot, so I may just put a new motor in it.. I was just thinking I could go back a few years and get...

Stupid trunk latch..

My 89' RS has an electronic latch for the trunk that doesn't work.. I'm guessing it's too seal the trunk water tight? Anyway, i've torn it apart and found that it's a huge unit.. is there any way I...

Re: Carb'd 305 turbo?

Thanks for the reply mate. I did see someone on youtube did a backyard turbo job on a roller 305 and made well over 400 rwhp, I can't remember the exact number.. but that's more than I need haha...

Too much for a 305?

I have an 89' RS with the LO3 5.0 and it has a carb swap done on it.. The carb is a 600 CFM Edlebrock 4 barrel, and I'm wondering if this is TOO much for a 305? People have actually told me to swap...

I was bored and clicked the link, lmao. I know it's BS, it wouldn't even work in theory but it was funny to see someone put up an entire website dedicating it to this scam.

Re: Start of a fun street machine?

So 3.42's it is, I'll look into that part # tonight on Jegs or Summit or something after work.

I'm thinking of sticking with the carb it has (600 CFM 4 barrel edlebrock), and adding a nice intake...

Re: 15 yr anniversary build

If that answer is yes, I highly need to consider buying a...

Re: Start of a fun street machine?

I appreciate you guys not being negative at all, I thought about a 3.73 rearend, but I'll re-consider 3.42's. Do you think it would help with highway mileage at all, (65 MPH+)

Also, this may sound...

Re: Start of a fun street machine?

250 RWHP, and 315 RWTQ would be a great goal! I know this 305 won't ever be a fire breathing dragster, but I know they're capable of something pretty great.

Are you serious those numbers are low...

Re: Start of a fun street machine?

Oh, and if you think the 305 could push 280+ RWHP/similiar torque... with what you've listed, I'd have no problem raising my budget.

Re: Start of a fun street machine?

I'd like torque more than horsepower, if that makes sense. Even in it's current state it'll chirp tires well through first gear if you stomp it, I'd just like maybe 280 RWHP, and like 300+ RWTQ, and...

Re: How much do you think this is worth ???'s

Honestly it differs by area. Around here, a decent body for a third gen era is about 800$. I bought my 89' RS, with 67,000 original miles without a scratch on the body, for 2,000$.
