Yes I replace the seals on the manifold with new. BTW, I also replaced the manifold and all hoses... The seals came with the compressor. As I recall, they were metal/rubber as you say.

I replaced the entire system, everything, and while I was at it I converted it from the R13 with the 134a. So is there a problem? High pressure too high? What do you think?
