Defroster help needed

The HVAC selector lever will slidt from vent to heat, but will not move past heat to the defrost mode. Any ideas? Can this be a vacuum issue or is this mechanical?

Any help is appreciated.

advice needed for dash pad removal to change speakers

Just bought my first gen 3, an 82 z with 47000 miles. Looking to upgrade the audio system and want to take off the dash pad. Any precautions i should take to avoid doing damage?

Just purchased a camaro so am looking to do the same. what material did you make the kick panels from? How did you attach them?
