so the alternator was grounding to the valve cover cause it was to close. so i banged in the cover abit and put more isulator on the terminal and i was good to go.

Yep so I just reset tdc and that solved the back fire problem but it still will not fire up. I checked the plugs and there burnt. Could that stop it from firing?
