Re: Do I have a bad EGR valve? (1991 Camaro 3.1)

Probably fouled the plugs. Pull adn inspect them then clean them. Also block the EGR port if you have it pulled off. That will casue a bad idle in itself.

Re: Fuel pump problem

By the way, I think you probably have a bad fuel pump. What kind did you put in it last time? I recommend staying away from parts store alternatives and get a Walbro 255.

Re: Fuel pump problem

This is what it is and it should be very near the canister itself. On my 91 it was about 6 inches up the vacuum line.

Re: Do I have a bad EGR valve? (1991 Camaro 3.1)

Any codes being set? You have a digital EGR controlled by the ECM in three steps. As the ECM demands more EGR, a different solenoid is activated. The 3rd has a large port and can stall the engine....

Re: 350 TPI EGR Solenoid question

Only throws a code if it doesn't open when it's supposed to. There is no check to make sure it closes. When the ECM commands the EGR active, it looks for indications that it actually went active. ...

Re: Hard Start Hot & Cold?? Arrrgh!!!!!!

When you say hard to start, do you mean it is having problems turning over or it just takes a while to fire? If its' slow to turn over, I would agree with 1911HD and the starter may be failing. If...

Re: 350 TPI EGR Solenoid question

Also check your EGR solenoid and EGR. If it is constantly open, you are getting Exhaust Gas Recirc at idle and that can cause a rough or surging idle.

Have you tried to leave the EGR...
