The trans is physically in. Needed to round out a couple holes on the crossmember adapter to get bolts through. Driveshaft went right on.

The only issue I was not aware of was the shifter shaft...

Yes, I have the Holley Blackheart crossmember already with the UMI torque arm. Which according to my info will work. Just trying to figure out the torque convertor as I don't really know much about...

I forgot to mention I already have the holley crossmember with torque arm provision with the 700. So it sounds like I can go with what I have and it should drop in like the 700 did confirmed?

I believe you are correct - the sender I have is a switch to trigger fan relays. I plan to get the 3 wire sender from the 98 ls1 as you described. Thanks for your input. Learning my way through...

Just to be clear - I have eliminated the factory ECU. Does that affect the operation of the gauges or are they independent of the ECU. Voltmeter works, but others do not.

Sounds more like the internal amp in your radio is bad. A speaker can look perfect and be blown btw. If you adjust volume and there is no change it's most likely the radio.
