Re: Lean Spike

RBob your solution is working, no cliff although it still is adding fuel in that area every time I do a learn. I usually get 4s in that area now instead of the 12s I was getting before and the...

Re: Lean Spike

I haven't forgotten, but the weather has been pretty bad all weekend. As soon as we have a decent day, I'll get it all done.

Re: Lean Spike

At wot it just powers right thru the area. I'm gonna do a few learns and then I'll post the tables. Work is winding down this week, so I'll be free to get all that done this weekend. I expect to...

Re: Lean Spike

Thanks for the reply, Bob, but the spike is only at the 2000-2500 rpm area. Below that range all is well, above that range, all is well. So should I just adjust BPC only in the range affected? For...

Lean Spike

I've hit an issue that has me stumped. CFI, Renegade intake, Dart 200cc SHP heads, 9.5 compression 90lb injectors Voodoo 256 cam. 28psi Vacuum adjusted fuel pressure, parallel plumbed injector towers...

Re: 82 CFI, dies on WOT

I just installed the new pump. Pressure with the VAFPR vacuum hose disconnected and plugged went from 17.5 with the old pump to 19.5 with the new one. I think I've found my issue. I'll be doing...

Re: 82 CFI, dies on WOT

Okay, I tested the MAP PW from the 2025 BIN on the cd (from a BBC 502). Still falls on its face at wot off idle, does better at wot while rolling. Still going very lean. I'm thinking fuel pressure...

Re: 82 CFI, dies on WOT

It goes way lean, like double digit mV on the O2. I have a pressure gauge on the line between the TB's, acts like it's supposed to sitting in the garage, goose the throttle, pressure spikes to 17.5,...

82 CFI, dies on WOT

Here's the issue. I have an 82 CFI, Voodoo 256 cam, Dart SHP heads, Renegade intake. Heads are 72 cc chambers, flat top pistons 9.5:1 compression, 200 cc intake. From a standing start if you floor...

Re: tcc question

I'm having a similar problem since I swapped to a 3:54 rear. TCC lockup is no longer working. Just started researching today, hopefully I'll find the issue. EBL still has the same tune as it had...

Re: Fighting an idle surge on a CFI with EBL

I'm looking at the Aeromotive 13301 regulator and redoing the hard lines along with limited use of braided lines and some block off plates to move to TJ11's and parallel plumbing. I'm in the...

That sounds reasonable. Thanks for letting me pick your brain on this.

Re: Fighting an idle surge on a CFI with EBL

Thanks, it gives me a place to start. I've already started designing a block off plate and I'll be able (I think) to fab up something for the fuel lines. How much pressure do you think the stock...

Re: Fighting an idle surge on a CFI with EBL

What I'd really like to find is offset data on the stock and the TJ11 injectors. I think that would help tremendously. All my searches have come up empty thus far.

Re: Fighting an idle surge on a CFI with EBL

Yes, I've done tons of BSFC calcs. With the stock injectors, I'd need upwards of 30 psi at WOT to get it even close to the fuel needed. I don't trust the stock injector pods at that pressure, I...

Re: Fighting an idle surge on a CFI with EBL

In the process of moving to 3.54:1 rear gears, currently the stock 2.87:1 now. Shift points are stock, haven't done any WOT runs yet, still working on low speed VE. I'm looking at the 454...

Re: Fighting an idle surge on a CFI with EBL

No issues that I can see/hear/feel. The only issues I was having was the idle surge. Good smooth power and operation everywhere else so far. I haven't started working on AE or anything else yet. ...

That solidified the idle, thank you :) Did you notice anything else that I need to change?

Fighting an idle surge on a CFI with EBL
