Does anyone pull off the internal pump, then extend the inlet with a longer piece of (lets say fuel injection hose)hose to the bottom of the tank and then run an external pump?

I am guessing a 14...

Do you have a tbi or tpi? I took off the snorkle air cleaner, got rid if the hot air tube, and gained 2 mpg on my tbi 305.
