The T5 will do just fine as long as you don't dump the clutch or slam gears. I don't know much about the steering boxes so I am of no help. I do have a spare ws6 steering box if you need it.

Yes the sensors will all fit. If you get vortec heads your intake won't fit. 1989 in my opinion has the best tpi setup due to the fact they got rid of the 9th injector and the computer was upgraded...
