Re: Any suggestions?

Resto mod. 350-400hp is perfect for these cars to keep it tame for cruising. Other than that keep the body/interior stock!

Re: Budget aftermarket heads?

PRC makes affordable heads that flow like Brodix. We use them on a 355 drag car and they’re amazing. I have a set of aluminum PRC’s ready to replace my dart irons on another 355.

Re: Should I swap in a 700r4?

As long as your not drag racing the car and want to just drive it, swap it in. Not sure how much power your pushing but it won’t break from regular driving.

Re: not what i expected 383 AFR

It probably is.

OP what kind of exhaust is on the car? Long tubes? What size air filter? If it can’t breathe it isn’t going to make power.

Re: 1992 JY T/A Convertible CL

Maybe 12k in 20 years when this is the last T/A available. 6-7k would be decent; but the seat and 140k stretch it. Much better deals out there.

Re: Swap mercruiser 305 to 350

yes it's feasible, everything is a direct bolt on (water pump, manifolds etc), so get your c/r up, throw in a suitable cam, ditch the two barrel.

Those temps are perfectly fine, as long as it doesn't go over 210 during regular driving then you are fine. Sure do like to creep at stop lights in the summer though :driving:

Re: Trans fluid lines installed tips?

neither rubber or copper are risky if you do it correctly. A high pressure line would work great. Everything eventually breaks. I can see you are an oem only type guy.

Re: Help! Im loosing my mind! (3.1l not staring...)

sounds like vatts issue, if it has spark and fuel it should go(but it doesn't lol). It's probably your ignition being worn out.

is your firing order correct?
