If I pick up a factory stereo from the junkyard to put in my '85 Firebird, will I need to override the factory security system?

140 mph Firebird speedo cluster

This came out of a 1989 Firebird Formula 350. 84751 miles on the car before it was parked.
Plastic lens is not cracked and the circuit board is not corroded.

You are looking at the wrong side of the bearing. We need to see the side that goes on the crank itself. I would have the crank checked. The machine shop may be able to polish it and you will be...

Thanks. I was thinking something along those lines. Cheaper to make one harness and not use everything than making multiple harnesses.

"the only thing that threw me was the fact that the rod coming from the tranny that runs through the torque converter doesn't really lock into anything it looks like. I would have expected it to lock...

wire pigtails behind the knee panel

when I pulled the knee panel on the passenger side I saw three pigtails with nothing attached to them.

Anyone know what they are for?

so I pulled the knee panel on the passengers side and the computer just fell out. It was not mounted to anything. I assume if should be mounted to something. Am I missing a bracket or something?

1. Will cleaning up the valves and such stop the loud clicking and restore the natural order of things in the heads, providing there is no permanent damage to the valves?
