Re: 1985 Trans Am 4bbl 305/T5 to LT1/T5 Swap

Hey, I know it's been a few years but I was wondering how this project turned out. Did you ever finish it? If you did, how did the T5 end up handling the extra power. I recently saw a decent deal on...

Ignition Control Module Keeps Dying

Last fall I had to replace the ignition control module on my 88 TBI 305. It had died on me, and with about 171K miles and it being 33 years old, it was simply time for a new one. Since I had the cap...

Re: TTW Third Gen Phantom Grill

What did you guys use for the grill. Is it just a 5th gen grill? Doesn't look pointy enough to be one. I like the mods though. 3rdgencamaro4me, I really like the modernized head light pods.

Re: Front bumper cover mod complete

I know this is an old post but I really like it. If you wanted to make it more like a first gen, you could put small orange rectangle running lights on the grill inside from the main lights like on...

Re: 88 Sport Coupe Remodel - Photo Documentation

The head liner has been removed. Because, the sunroof leaked, the liner drooped and the cloth was starting to come off, so I ripped the whole thing out. Luckily the headliner always dried out so...

Re: 88 Sport Coupe Remodel - Photo Documentation

I like the sunroof too. Unfortunately, the rubber seal is dried out where it meets the glass, so it leaks. I have some low strength adhesive on it to keep it from leaking until I figure out how I...

Re: 88 Sport Coupe Remodel - Photo Documentation

I have also installed a bluetooth fm transmitter for a trip I took this summer. I had a job in Vegas for the summer and needed some navigation. When I plugged it into the cigarette lighter, it kept...

Re: 88 Sport Coupe Remodel - Photo Documentation

To date I have replaced the exhaust all the way up to the manifold. All that was left when I bought it was the y-pipe with a temp piece that went out by the door. As you can see the y-pipe was in...

88 Sport Coupe Remodel - Photo Documentation

I was inspired by Saxondale's repaint documentation, so I am going to do the same thing as I redo my car.

I have had my camaro for almost a year. Mechanically, it's in really good shape....

Re: need help choosing an exhaust

I'm not sure. When I bought the car it only had the y-pipe and even that was rusted, so it was really loud. I haven't been around one with stock exhaust.

I think you'll really like that one. I put the flowmaster 80 on mine in March and I'm really enjoying it.

Re: Muscle or Sport

This is the main mod I'm going to do to my car. I feel like the white top is reminiscent of the first gens, and when combined with the rally stripes, it will look more the the muscle car I believe it...

Re: Muscle or Sport

This is a great thread. Glad you bumped it back into existence. To me for it to be a muscle car it has to have a certain stance or look. The sixties and seventies camaros, chevelles, mustangs, mopar...

Re: Forgot how underpowered it was

I find this post interesting. My stock 88 camaro has the 305 throttle body. It's manual, but they have 20 less hp than the tpi. However my top end rocks. I have no problem accelerating from 70 to...

Re: 1984 Z28 Repaint - Photo Documentation (High Res Slow to Download)

That turned out great. Has me rethinking what I want to do with my car. I was going to do something kind of elaborate but it looks damn good just red. Can't wait to see it as you put the interior...

Re: 1984 Z28 Repaint - Photo Documentation

Also, have you ever considered leaving the gfx off? It's more rounded and makes it look kind of like a second or even first gen style. I don't know if I would ever do it but it's an idea.
