Steering box adjustment. Need help

I spoke with the original owner and he said he did nothing to car and bought it factory as is. I’m stumped. Wondering if this was a factory screw up.

I have an odd situation i guess. I purchased my 83 T/A from its original owner who said the car is totally original.

It’s an LG4 engine, has an air cleaner with a round opening BUT has the air...

I will definitely check the transmission mount. My dad is saying it could be the U joints.

LOL, yeah i drove my brothers 87 Trans Am a lot. That is what i meant.

Transmission fluid is brand new and very clean. I will definitely check the transmission mount though. Thanks!

Just bought a 1983 Trans Am. Car is totally pristine. 35k original miles. Never seen rain.

My first car as a kid was an 82 firebird manual long ago.

This car has a rough jump and clunk...

Thanks, Just got her. I contacted the original owner and asked if he replaced the entire interior. He said no. I’m still in shock.
