I personally haven't but i took it to a mechanic and had the fuel pump replaced and that brought the pressure from 30 to 44.

What exactly am I looking for with the multimeter? Am I just seeing if the voltage changes when cranking and then stops when the engine starts?

I just got the radio back and it works again, the guy said that when you switch from fm to cassette it manually flips a switch inside, which had worn out. Thanks for your suggestions

So where is it supposed to be going to/coming from from the buffer box? I tried to pull the unplugged wire end out but it is attached to the rest of the wires I'm assuming from the factory

They are the same color and thickness, the multimeter gave me the same voltage on both. The end that's in the ecm is in the yellow box...
