Thx for the response - I ended up buying a new distributor. I couldn't get top magnetic "shell" the pickup coil sits in off to replace it - not even with a hammer.

Axelnut you misunderstood, I suggested replacing the line from the top of the tank to the rubber lines. Using the grinder was only to make the 'window' bigger so you don't have to drop the tank...
