It's it's moaning it's fair to say it's passed its' best but it's not a guarantee that it's about to fail.

Put a volt meter on the starter, if it's getting the correct power then I'd look at swapping it out....

Every now an then whilst driving and the car at running temp, if I'm sat at some lights or a junction the engine will start to stutter and stall, a restart starts it up fine and otherwise it runs OK....
