Actually it's easy to check if these ground wires are bad. With ignition off measure the resistance between each wire and the chassis. It should read something close to 0. I think 1-2 Ohms is OK...

If you have it set to 1000V you will not see anything because the TPS voltage is in the range 0 - 5V. Change it to something lower, let's say 10V.

Make sure that TPS is still connected to the car...

Measure the voltage at grey(or white) wire at the TPS. It should be 5 volts with TPS connected or not. This is a reference voltage from ECM.

Dark blue wire should change approx. from 0.5V to 4.5V...
