Actually it's easy to check if these ground wires are bad. With ignition off measure the resistance between each wire and the chassis. It should read something close to 0. I think 1-2 Ohms is OK...

If you have it set to 1000V you will not see anything because the TPS voltage is in the range 0 - 5V. Change it to something lower, let's say 10V.

You probably ment it is shorted to ECM reference voltage that is 5VDC. If it was shorted to ground it would be 0VDC.
Anyway, readings seem to be OK.
